We are currently looking to fill the position of Secretary on our Executive Board.

Shari Martin, Secretary on the Board for a number of years has decided to make a change by moving into the Equipment Director position.  We appreciate her work as Secretary and for continuing to volunteer her time with EHMHA.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Monthly EHMHA Executive Board Meeting (10 times per year)
  • Coordinate AGM annual meeting (Jan-May)
  • Maintain organized files and folders (hard and electronic copies) to support the Board
  • Monitor the Secretary email account and field general enquiries in a timely manner
  • Volunteer to help other association activities

  • Communicate effectively and diplomatically and work well with a diverse team
  • Always operate with discretion
  • The Secretary is elected at the EHMHA Annual General Meeting (AGM) or by the EHMHA Executive and is appointed for a term of 24 months. 
  • This role is a voting member, so there will be a contribution to the association decision-making across all topics as required
  • Estimated time commitment is approximately 5 hours per month with peak in Jan-May for AGM activity
  • Coordinate and attend EH Executive Meetings (10 per year)
  • Coordinate and attend Annual General Meeting held in May
  • Access to internet, email, MS Word and Excel or equivalent/compatible
  • A member of the EHMHA in good standing and will abide by its policies, rules and by-laws
