Help Us Help the Kids!

Our organization simply can not run without the dedicated help of our volunteers. It is a rewarding experience with many different levels of participation.

CHIP Program
The CHIP program is a fantastic way to get started as a volunteer. These folks are the future coaches and bench staff of our organization!  If you wish to help out on the ice, you must have a Speak Out Certification (PRS). Check our Clinics page to see if we offer this locally.

Coaches, Trainers, Managers
Support our players by helping out on the bench. A good bench staff shares the workload and has lots of fun with the players. This is an exciting position and puts you where the action is! If you wish to help at practices you will need your Speak Out Certification (PRS).  If you want to be on the bench, other certification may be required depending on the position. More information on certifications is available under the Rules of Operation. If you are interested in a helping with our Local League, please submit an APPLICATION.

General Volunteering
We are always looking for volunteers to help us throughout the year. Short term assignments are available and a great way to meet others. Please email [email protected] if you would like to add your name to our list of volunteers!

Executive Volunteers
The executive volunteers work year round behind the scenes. These hidden heroes bring in a mix of skills that support every aspect of our organization. A special thanks when you see these folks always goes a long way!  These positions are usually longer term and some require specialized skills. It is important that our executive represent all age groups and work closely as a team. New members are always welcome!  Some positions are elected, some are appointed. For information on the status of the current executive click here. For more information on the executive roles and duties see our By-Law page.

Christmas Tournaments
Volunteers are needed to form a committee to delegate the many responsibilities which include:
  • Assistant Director
  • Registration and Team Credentials Co-ordinator
  • Drinks and Team Dressing Room Co-ordinator
  • Sound (Music) Co-ordinator
  • Kitchen (Lunch) Staff
  • 50%-50% and Other Sales
  • Entertainment Person
  • Awards Presentation
A daily schedule detailing names and times volunteers are available to help is also required.  These positions are perfect for parents of players who will be participating in the tournament.  There will be somebody available to relieve you when your player is on the ice so you don't miss seeing them play!  Anyone willing to help with these tournaments is requested to contact the tournament chair at [email protected].
