Our rep program focuses on development and fun, and follows the Hockey Canada Long-Term player development model. The priority at this age group is continued development of physical literacy, fitness, and the basic skills required to play hockey.
Small area game play is proven to benefit players in the following ways:
-2x puck touches
-6x shot attempts
-3x shots on goal
-2x pass attempts
-5x passes received
Our rep program provides additional practice time for players to further develop their fundamental skills and the opportunity for more 1-on-1 coaching.
They are on the ice between 3-4 times a week. The team plays in the tri-county loop which typically includes Orangeville, Milton, Caledon, Oakville, Brampton, Burlington. They will also play in 2 or 3 tournaments throughout the season. There is a mandated break over the Christmas holidays, where no hockey activity is scheduled.
