Rep Director

We are looking for a new Rep Director to join the EHMHA Executive team.  This is a volunteer opportunity contributing to the success of the EHMHA representative hockey division. 

Responsibilities

·        Deliver successful operations and organization of the EHMHA Representative program

·        Enforce the rules, regulations and guidelines established by the EHMHA

·        Lead Coach Selection process

·        Lead Team Tryout process

·        Support Bench Staff development through observation, coaching and mentoring

·        Monitor teams' progress throughout the season and support as required

·        Serve on the EHMHA Discipline Committee

·        Stay connected with neighbouring hockey communities (Tri-County)

·        Monitor the Rep Director email account and field enquiries in a timely manner

·        Liaise with EHMHA Executive members

·        Attend EH Executive Meetings (10 per year) and represent EHMHA at all Tri-County League meetings (10 per year)

·        Support coordination for Rep/Select Awards Ceremony, Coach and Volunteer Appreciation Night, and Rep Coach and Manager season kick-off meeting

·        Maintain and circulate documentation as required

·        Distribute and also collect all rep games sheets

 

Time Commitment and Appointment Terms

·        Estimated time commitment is 10 hours per month throughout the whole year with April/May and Aug/Sept being busier with season opening and closing activities

·        The Rep Director is elected at the EHMHA Annual General Meeting (AGM) and is appointed for a term of 24 months on uneven years.  It is a voting member position on the Executive

Requirements

·        The Rep Director is elected at the EHMHA Annual General Meeting (AGM) or by the EHMHA Executive and is
         appointed for a term of 24 months.  This role is a voting member, so there will be a contribution to the association
         decision-making across all topics as required

·        Estimated time commitment is 10 hours per month throughout the whole year with April/May and Aug/Sept being
         busier with season opening and closing activities

·        Previous experience in a competitive minor hockey association (i.e coaching)

·        Strong collaborator and communicator

·        Access to internet, email, MS Word and Excel or equivalent/compatible

·        A member of the EHMHA in good standing and will abide by its policies, rules and by-laws
