There are many organizations who provide financial assistance to offset the cost of hockey for those in need. 

EHMHA does not provide direct financial assistance, but we are able to arrange for flexible installment payment options - including arrangements beyond the standard staggered payment options available at registration.

Listed below are organizations who have assisted EHMHA families in past and current seasons.

Erin Oldtimers through East Wellington Community Services

Through the generosity of the Erin Old Timers proceeds from their annual tournament are used to provide financial assistance for local league registration to families in need.  Applications for this program are administered by EWAC - Contact Alyssa


Free to Play - The Children's Foundation

The Children’s Foundation Free to Play programs provides financial assistance for children in need so that they can participate in sports, cultural and recreational activities. Funds are available for the activity of the child’s choice as long as the activity will benefit and enrich their own personal development. 


OMHA Financial Subsidy Program

Each year, minor hockey associations across the OMHA support numerous charities and charitable foundations. Thousands of dollars are generated and many causes and programs benefit from this support.
The Financial Subsidy Program provides financial subsidy to minor hockey players who are currently experiencing difficulty raising enough funds to participate in the game.


Canadian Tire Jumpstart

Jumpstart helps kids between the ages of 4 to 18 by assisting with the costs associated with registration, equipment and/or transportation for sports and physical activity programming.


Kidsport Canada / Hyundai Hockey Helpers

KidSport Ontario provides grant assistance to Ontario children and youth 18 years old or younger who are facing financial barriers preventing them from joining organized sport.  Kidsport partners with Hyundai hockey helpers to provide grants to offset costs of participating in hockey to those in need.



NHL Players Association Goals & Dreams Game Changer award

The Game-Changer Award is designed to help individual families with unforeseen financial needs. The costs of registration fees and/or hockey equipment may be provided to families whose children have been impacted by job loss, divorce, illness, or death.
