Equipment Policy

At the start of the season, the coach or rep team manager will receive and sign for all equipment provided by the association.

All equipment is to be returned at the end of the season and signed for by the equipment director.  For local league this will be on Champs Day; for Rep and Select teams this will be at the rep awards.

First Aid Kits

  • At the beginning of the season, each team will receive a first aid kit stocked with standard supplies.  The trainer is responsible for taking care of and stocking the first aid kit throughout the season, and for returning it at the end of the season to the equipment director

Goalie Equipment

  • Goalie Equipment up to Atom age may be requested (subject to availability) through the Equipment Director and must be returned to the equipment director at the end of the season

Practice Pucks

  • Practice pucks are available from the equipment director where requested by first-time coaches only

Water Bottles

  • Individual player water bottles are to be obtained and/or paid for by for each player
  • For health reasons, each player and bench staff will use their own water bottle and will not share

Jerseys and socks


Rep

  • 2 home and 2 away jerseys and socks “spares” will be assigned to each team and must be returned to the equipment director at end of the season at the rep awards

Select – Option 1 to purchase new

  • The cost of a team set of home jerseys and socks is to be included in the select team fees.  These will then be purchased by the Equipment Director
  • Players will be able to keep the jerseys and socks at the end of the season

Select – Option 2 to borrow from EHMHA

  • The team manager is to coordinate a team list with sizes to the equipment director to determine if there is the right amount of home jerseys that can be borrowed from EHMHA for the season

The team manager is responsible for implementing a jersey policy that ensures their proper care using one of two methods:

1.    Jerseys can be handed out and collected at each game

2.    Jerseys can be distributed to individual players if the team purchases individual jersey garment bags (info available from the equipment director)

3.    Jerseys must not be kept in players’ hockey bags at any time

 

·       A set of home socks will be purchased as part of the team fees which players can keep

·        The jerseys are to be returned to the equipment director at the end of the season at the rep awards

Local League

  • A set of jerseys and socks will be assigned to each team and the cost is included in local league registration fee.  Players keep them at the end of season
  • A set of conflict jerseys or pinnies will be kept at Centre 2000 and must be returned at the end of each game when used
