EHMHA provides competitive and recreational team opportunities at various levels within each division, typically BB, AE, Rostered Select, and Local League.
As a result, EHMHA prohibits exhibition games where one EH team would play another EH team as follows:
- BB teams may not play an exhibition game against an AE team, nor an Rostered Select team, nor a Local League team.
- AE teams may not play an exhibition game against a Rostered Select team, nor a Local League team.
- Rostered Select teams may not play an exhibition game against a Local League team.
- A travel permit for such play as noted above will not be issued by EHMHA.
In addition, EHMHA strongly discourages unofficial games or scrimmages (whether separately scheduled or within a joint practice) between teams of differing levels within the same division.
