Team Officials (Bench Staff Roles)

Key Points to be aware of:
  • All teams must have a minimum Coach and Trainer.
  • It is important to remember that anyone on the bench that is not on an OHMA roster is considered illegal and the OHMA may penalize and fine the association if they find out. OMHA Clinic information can be found at: OMHA Clinics
Please refer to the chart below which outlines what certifications are required:

FAQ
Can I have another parent help out on the bench if another official can't make the game?
Another parent can help out on the bench if the following requirements are met:
  1. They must be fully certified in the position of the official they are replacing.
  2. They must be officially rostered with an OHMA team roster. EHMHA creates a special roster called "at large" that the OHMA approves. Anyone on this roster can fill in for someone of equal position. Be sure to ask parents who will be helping to make sure they are put on this roster (contact [email protected]).
