EHMHA is proud to be sanctioned by Hockey Canada - the most respected Hockey Organization in the world. We follow the Hockey Canada long term development plan - this model is based on the physical, mental, emotional and cognitive development of children and adolescents. It also encourages life-long physical activity and informed healthy lifestyle choices with participation in hockey long after the competitive years. We are an audited not for profit organization, governed by our volunteer run Executive Board and by the By-laws that are in place to create a framework for our programs and operations. We welcome players of all abilities.
The EHMHA Executive is committed to providing the best program possible based on the guidelines provided to us by our governments and OMHA, all while ensuring the safety of our players, parents, referees, coaches and volunteers. We have done our best to keep the costs as low as possible while still delivering a quality program in a safe and fun environment. The cap of 20 players on the ice at a time has caused the cost per player to go up significantly, along with additional costs associated with Covid-19 protocols. To help keep hockey as affordable as possible, the EHMHA Board of Directors has authorized the use of money from our reserve fund to subsidize the per player cost this year.
