Phil Lankhof – U16BB Head Coach
We are excited to welcome Coach Phil to the Devils organization for next season. He has been coaching high level sports in the Headwaters area for over 10 years. Spanning across multiple disciplines including elite level Baseball, Golf and Rep hockey. Coaching and skill development are his passion, and he is certified through the CPGA, Baseball Ontario and the NCCP with Hockey Canada. His coaching philosophy centres around a team first mentality. He believes hard-work and grit are not taught or coached - but skill and development can be, as long as the player is willing to accept feedback through active and on-going communication.
He is looking to put together a team that wants to continue to play at a higher level, but also understands that the joy of going to the rink comes first, and his priority is to create a fun atmosphere, with a dedication to being successful on the ice, and representing the association proudly off the ice.
While not coaching, he is often found at the rink or on the ball diamond. He is an active OMHA Official and Level 3 Baseball Umpire. Along with his wife and 3 kids, he has dedicated his life to youth sports, actively volunteering on many boards and associations and their executive committees.
