Technical Director
We are looking for a new Technical Director to join the EHMHA Executive team. This is a volunteer opportunity contributing to the success of the EHMHA representative hockey division.
Primary Responsibilities
· Implement and evaluate on and off-ice technical development programs for CHIP, Local League, Rostered Select and
Rep at all age levels
· Liaise with the Coaching, Local League, Rep and CHIP Directors to understand needs and implement technical
development programs
· Liaise with the Coaching Director to establish and run the coach mentor program
· Recruit and train volunteers to support technical development programs
· Build and maintain an online technical training library for directors, coaches, bench staff, parents and players
· Monitor the Technical Director email account and field enquiries in a timely manner
· Carry out other duties assigned by the President and Executive Members
Requirements
· The Technical Director is elected at the EHMHA Annual General Meeting (AGM) or by the EHMHA Executive and is
appointed for a term of 24 months. This role is a voting member, so there will be a contribution to the association
decision-making across all topics as required
· Estimated time commitment is 4 hours per month throughout the whole year with Aug-Oct being busier with season
opening activities
· Attend EH Executive Meetings (10 per year)
· Access to internet, email, MS Word and Excel or equivalent/compatible
· A member of the EHMHA in good standing and will abide by its policies, rules and by-laws
